Peanuts are actually not a nut, they are technically a legume which makes them not the most Keto-Friendly option. Peanuts also contain a higher amount of carbohydrates compared to nuts and they contain lectins which can be promote inflammation.
Additionally, most peanut butters have sugar and/or hydrogenated oils added making them even worse for overall health.
Peanut butter is a low carb food, meaning it can be tolerated in moderation on a Keto Diet, however, it is not the best food for overall health.
