What is Intermittent Fasting?

Intermittent fasting is characterized by alternating between time periods of fasting and feeding. This approach to fasting can be done daily if desired. Examples of common IF practices include 16:8, 20:4, and one meal a day.

16:8 - For this fasting protocol you fast for 16 hours and eat for 8 hours.

20:4 - For the 20:4 protocol you fast for 20 hours and eat for 4 hours.

One meal a day: For this protocol you eat 1 large meal a day and fast for the remaining hours of the day.

No matter what protocol you use please ensure you are still eating adequate calories, macronutrients, and micronutrients.
